ABOUT US

DESCRIPTION OF MY DAY CARE
Edith's Home Care is a smoke free and pet free environment. We welcome all
age children (6 weeks to 12 years). My staff and I are dedicated to children.
Our goals are to help each child build a confidence in their own unique
abilities, no matter how old they are.
We work hard to meet the needs of
each child on an individual basis. We inspire children to laugh and have fun
while they learn. We put forth every effort to offer children our love and
laughter on a daily basis.
We encourage children to use their imagination
and creativity to prepare them for success throughout their educational
journey.
Edith's Home Care also provides a nutritious breakfast,
lunch and two snacks per day, along with a wonderful preschool and pre-kindergarten
curriculum. We have a large fenced in playground area and lots of age
appropriate toys.
We transport to and from Christa McAuliffe Elementary
School. We also offer a homework help program for our School-agers after
school each day.
We also take all children on fun as well as educational
field trips. We strive to build a wonderful foundation for all children,
by offering a fun, safe, nurturing, loving environment and an educational
atmosphere.

CURRICULUM
Edith's Home Care offers a terrific preschool and pre-kindergarten curriculum.
We offer each child the opportunity to develop their minds through daily
learning activities. Such as reading, music and movement, arts and crafts,
food crafts and circle-time.
Our preschoolers and pre-kindergerteners are
registered in a wonderful reading program. Other daily activities the children
have the opportunity to learn are: shapes, colors, numbers, letters,
the four seasons, manners, their five senses, health and nutrition, personal
hygiene and to write their name.
Our curriculum helps the children develop
their fine and gross motor skills. Our schedule is structured but flexible
enough to allow us to meet the needs of each child. We fully understand that
children learn through imagination and fun. Edith's Home Care also offers a
homework program for our school-agers with one on one help when needed.
